Lucky(Crazy) Me

Posted on December 21, 2009December 21, 2009 by Aritra Sen

Well I am still laughing as I am writing this post.In this post you will see the heights of my luck as well as craziness.Well my close friends and my Twitter friends how Twitterholic I am.Yesterday When I was Tweeting from my mobile in the afternoon and I went into toilet while I was Tweeting through Gprs(Crazy me).

Certainly my mobile dropped into the water tub and that word came into my mouth, with a split of a second I picked up my mobile and switched it off and removed the battery. After wiping out all the water I switched it on and It was working fine and I thanked the all mighty heart out and I told myself that I will never ever entertain my thoughts of Tweeting from toilet 😛 .

After few hours My mobile got switched off automatically and I failed to switch it on again. Then I called my friend Tamoghno who has a great knowledge in mobile phones. He told me to put my mobile deep into a rice bag. When I woke up in the morning, straight a way I went to dig my mobile from the rice bag after that surprisingly my mobile was working fine(Lucky Me).I hope my phone is out of “DANGER ZONE”.

Thanks.

Aritra…!!! Are you serious!!! You actually took the mobile in the toilet?!?! What were you tweeting is the big question??? LOL… jus kidding…

And whats the funda in burying the gadget in the rice sack… i guess absorbing the moisture must have done the trick… anyways All’s well that ends well… happy to know that the mobile is ringing after all… Good resuscitation by Dr. Tamoghno.. BRAVO! LOL..

Well anyways… thanks for sharing this incident Aritra… take care…

So i am Dr. Tamoghno now !

Well this technique is nothing new . rice have very high rate of moisture absorbation capability. Like silica gel. Hence rice will make the phone dry very quickly and effectively .

If ever any of you drop your phone in the water , first thing you should do is pop out the battery , clean it with cloth and put it an rice bag for long hours . It is more effective than drying it in sun or using hot air etc. And its most safe too. If you’re not very unlucky then within 24-48hrs your phone should be safe.

Nice, article, if u would have given a sun bath to ur handset, it might have worked too. Provided u would have opened up all parts and let dry. But Rice sack, Heat is there in those grains and moisture absorbing capability.

Well it is always risky to put the memory device(electronics gadgets) under the sun.Sun ray can wipe out the memory contents from memory chips-Electronic concepts says that.
